The WERC Lab makes all of its data accessible on Movebank, Dryad, and Virginia Tech's Library Repository.

Prospective Students

The Fish and Wildlife Department at Virginia Tech requires that all graduate students are supported by a primarily by a graduate research assistantship (GRA; supported by a research grant or fellowship) and can receive secondary support via a graduate teaching assistantship (GTA).  Dr. Jesmer advertises all funded GRA on the Texas A&M Job Board, the ECOLOG-L listerserve, and the MAMMAL-L list serve. If you have funding or wish to pursue funding with Dr. Jesmer, please send an email outlining: (1) your primary research interests, (2) a specific project you'd like to pursue, (3) proposed source of funding, and (4) your CV. Dr. Jesmer will then respond with further instruction. Dr. Jesmer receives several GRA requests every month, and unfortunately cannot response to all requests.
